In the heart of Africa, under skies so blue,
We gather together, proud and true.
With voices united, our spirits rise high,
Celebrating freedom, reaching for the sky.
Oh Zambia, land of the brave and the free,
From the rivers to mountains, your beauty we see.
Your colors of green, red, and black wave,
A symbol of strength, for all who are brave.
On this special day, we remember the fight,
Of those who stood strong for our future so bright.
With courage and hope, they paved the way,
For generations to cherish this Independence Day.
From Lake Tanganyika to the Zambezi's flow,
In our hearts and our minds, your stories we know.
We honor the heroes who answered the call,
For freedom and justice, they gave their all.
Let’s dance to the rhythms of our vibrant culture,
Embrace our diversity, every friend, every brother.
Together we rise, hand in hand, side by side,
In unity and peace, let our hearts abide.
So here’s to our Zambia, our land so dear,
With love and with pride, we celebrate here.
May we cherish this freedom, both strong and profound,
In the spirit of independence, together we're bound.
