first you set it up as y=mx+b
-y/3=x+5/3
how do you get rid of the 3's?

Multiply all there things by 3/1.
-y= 3x+5
y= -3x-5
-y= 3x+5
y= -3x-5

Ok I see how you worked it and I understand it but I have multiple choice as
a. slope= 5; y-intercept (0, 3)
c. Slope=-5; y-intercept (0, 3)
b. slope=3; y-intercept (0, -5)
d. slope=3; y-intercept (0, 5)
and the slope that you and I got is -3 with an intercept of (0, -5), but negative 3 is not an option what is wrong here?
