I'm having trouble with converting units. My teacher wants us to show work but I can't figure out how to do it. An example is, 35 mL = ____ dL. By showing work, how do you do that?

35ml * YYYliter/XXX ml * ZZZ dl/kkkliter
so the idea is to find the numbers which convert. You know 1000ml=1liter, and 1 liter is 10dL, so
35ml * 1 liter/1000ml *10 dL/1liter
multiply, divide out units, so...
.35 dL
