Question
What are some of the forces that change earth's surface
Answers
Ms. Sue
Hurricanes, tornadoes, wind, rain, earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanoes, and glaciers are natural events that change the earth's surface.
People also change the earth's surface by damming rivers, using water that used to flow into lakes, bulldozing hills, paving roads and parking lots, dynamiting big holes for mining and gravel collection.
One of the most spectacular sights that I've seen is a huge hole hundreds of feet deep and at least a half mile in diameter just southwest of Chicago. It's a gravel mine that an interstate highway crosses on a bridge.
