N*M=3 1/5
N+M=3 3/5

change the fractions to improper

N*M=16/5 or N=16/5M

then in the second
16/5M + M= 18/5
multipy both sides by M
16/5+M^2= 18M/5
multipy both sides by 5
16+5M^2=18M
put it in standard form, and solve.
