lisa studies 9 hrs. for a test and gets a score of 72. at this rate, how many hrs. would she have had to study to get a score of 92?

Strange question. Test scores aren't usually totally dependent upon the time spent studying.

However, using your figures, Lisa gets 1 point for each 0.125 of an hour she studies. With that (il)logic, multiply 0.125 by 92 to find the total hours needed.
