The market for a while was primarily a national one. When automobiles became inexpensive and readily available, everyone HAD to have one.... therefore, what had to happen? What had people traveled over before?

my answer: it resulted in development of a large interantional marekt for american automobiles
but im not sure if it was a sharp decrese in railroad passenger traffic or a construction of a highway system
