Napoleon helped to spread feelings of nationalism throughout Europe by defeating the austrian empire. He used feelings of Nationalism to defeat this empire, and that's how these feelings began to spread. Nationalism would be a positive and a negative force because well the positive effect of it would give Patriotism and national pride. It would also give public pride and, it would make the society more organized. Negative effects of this would cause bigotry and intolerance, as well as facism, and a lot of wars would begin to occur. Also abuse of the people by their leaders would begin to occur.
