Napoleon helped to spread feelings of nationalism throughout Europe by initially using it to help him defeat the austrian empire from within, by this was the beginning of the spread of Nationalism . Nationalism would be a positive and a negative force because well the positive effect of it would give Patriotism and national pride. It would also give civic pride and, it would give a more cohesive society. Negative effects of this would be bigotry and intolerance, also facism, and many wars would begin to occur. As well as expolitation of the people by their leaders.
