Find the root (solve) of each equation.

a) 1/3 (2w-6)=-10
2w - 6 = -30
2w = -24
w = -12
b) Since you used brackets in the first equation to avoid any confusion, I will have to assume you meant the second equation exactly the way you typed it, or else you would have used brackets also.
3a-7/4=4a+5/3
-7/4 - 5/3 = 4a - 3a
-21/12 - 20/12 = a
-41/12 = a
c) in this one, the LCD is 12, so multiply each term by 12.
18k - 12k + 12 = 96 - 12k + 6
I am suddenly very suspicious that this is not what you meant.
