Do you know the definition of pH?
pH = -log(H^+)
For HCl, which is a strong acid (a strong electrolyte meaning it ionizes 100%), (H^+) is same as (HCl).
Therefore, pH = -log(0.1)
Punch 0.1 into your computer, hit log and you will get -1.
So pH = -(-1) = +1.
OK?
