    sqrt6x=sqrt(8x+4) -2
square each side.
6x=8x+4+4-4sqrt(8x+4)
4sqrt(8x+4)=2x+8
divide by 2
2sqrt( )=x+4
square both sides
2(8x+4)=x^2+8x+16
gather terms..
x^2-8x+8=0
x=(8+-sqrt(64-32))/2
check my math
