Divide: 2x-6/21 divided by 5x-15/12
I have worked to this point and now I'm stuck.
2(x-3)/7 * 4/5(x-5) and I don't know where to go from here. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
No. the second term in th denominator factors to 5(x-3), which then will divide into the numerator.
I think what you have should be....
[2(x-3)/7] * [4 / (5*(x-3)) ]
then cancel out the (x-3) ' s
and then you should get 8/35
sorry i somehow always end up posting my suggestions after bob
i guess i type too slow :)

9/x-5-1=8/x+5
