6x+2=6
Subtract 2 from both sides of the equation.
6x = 4
x = 4/6 = 2/3
Subtract 2 from both sides of the equation.

x = 4/6 = 2/3

subtract 2 from each side which cancels the 2 and makes 4 instead of 6 then divide by 6 canceling the original 6 and dividing 4 by six. four divided by six is .6666 or in other words 2/3
