Calculate the mass of solute required to make:

10.0 cm3 of 0.100 M Fe(NH4)2(SO4)2.6H20

Please explain how you did it and as well the status of the 6 waters there, are they considered solute or solvent or what?
Thanks a bunch!

mass=volume*Molarity*molemass

mole mass of Ferrous ammonium sulfate hexhydrate is about 392 grams (work it out!)
volume is in liters.

The 6H2O is hydrated water, attached to the iron ammonium sulfate structure. They are part of the solute (they are dissolved in the solvent).
