I have been wondering this afternoon, what is exactly a plagiarism workshop? Is that like a safe-cracking, or a bank-robber workhshop? But only novice criminals would attend those, and I doubt if APA format would be required.
But a plagarism workshop could be used by novices entering political campaigns. Or by freshmen lawmakers. Or men writing love letters.
At any rate, it is something to wonder. Nearly all teacher workshops I have attended expected to teach behaviours or techniques that others had developed for their classrooms.
So in this sense, all were plagarism workshops. What was needed was some fresh air, to teach originality, and the value of experimentation, and the value of failure.
