the answer would be 53.33%
320/600=x/100
320/600=x/100

Let's think about this.
600 - 280 = 320
What percent of 600 is 320?
You could set up a proportion:
320/600 = x/100
Cross multiply:
600x = 32000
x = 53.33 = 53.33%
Or -- a simpler way:
320/600 = 0.5333 = 53.33%
Sometimes when faced with a problem I don't remember how to do, I start with a simple problem to which I do know the answer.
For instance I know that 1/2 is 50%. How do we get that? We divide 1 by 2.
