Which has more mass and volume, a cup of popped popcorn or a cup of cooked rice?

I think it is rice because popcorn can not fit together without crumpling and rice sticks really well together.

Which has more volume: a cup of x or a cup of y? Wouldn't they both have the same volume, since they are both a cup of something?
