first expand it
.10 = .9x + .14 - .14x
.10 - .14 = .76x
-.04 = .76x
x = -.04/.76
x = -4/76 = 1/19

<<How do I solve
0.10 = 0.9x + .14(1-x)>>

0.10 = 0.14 +0.76x
Subtract 0.14 from both sides. Then multiply both sides of the equation by 100
-4 = 76x
x = -1/19
