How to make brownies

1 answer

Here is a classic recipe for homemade chocolate brownies:

Ingredients:
- 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter
- 2 cups (400g) granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup (75g) cocoa powder
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- Optional: 1 cup (175g) chocolate chips or nuts

Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
2. Melt the butter in a saucepan or in the microwave. Once melted, pour it into a large mixing bowl and let it cool slightly.
3. Add the granulated sugar to the melted butter and stir well. Then, beat in the eggs one at a time until well combined. Stir in the vanilla extract.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
5. If desired, fold in chocolate chips or nuts.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it out evenly.
7. Bake for approximately 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Be careful not to overbake as this can result in dry brownies.
8. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares. Enjoy!

Note: Brownie recipes can be personalized with additional ingredients such as adding a layer of caramel or a swirl of peanut butter on top before baking.
