Question
The ‘body mass index’ is used to find the body weight that is appropriate for a person’s height. It is calculated using the formula.
I = W/H^2 (I = W divided by H squared)
Where I is the body mass, W is the person’s weight in kg, and H is the person’s height in metres.
Use the formula to find the body mass index for an adult who is 190 cm tall and weighs 75 kg. Give your answer correct to 1 decimal place.

First change the values you have to the units in the formula, cm --> m.
Then substitute the values into the equation and do the processes indicated — square H and then divide it into W to get the value of I.
I hope this helps. Thanks for asking.
