Find the Volume of a hemisphere with a diameter of 17 cm. Use pi = 3.14 and round to the nearest hundredth. can some one show me what i'mdoing wrong?
this is what i got:
4/3*3.15*17^3
you forgot to split the diameter in half to get the radius.
You used the diameter in the formula.
Also 4/3(pi)r^3 is the volume of the sphere. For the hemisphere you will need to half the volume.
so
4/6*3.14*8.5^3

equals 2571.14
