Write a chemical equation showing how each of the following species behaves as a base when dissolved in water

a.) O2-

i have

O2- + H2O --> HO2- + OH-

how do i make this right??

Without being able to write subscripts, I'm not exactly sure what O2- is; however, I'm guessing it is O<sup>=</sup>. If so, then I would write the equation as
O<sup>=</sup> + HOH ==> 2OH<sup>-</sup>
