Dupe age and olu age add up to 25yrs . Eight years ago Dupe was twice as old as olu how old are they now

olu's age --- x
Dupe's age = 25-x

Eight years ago:
olu ----- x-8
Dupe ---- 25-x - 8 = 17 - x

17-x = 2(x-8)
17-x = 2x - 16
3x = 33
x = 11
