5 3/4 = 5 + 3 / 4 = 4 • 5 / 4 + 3 / 4 =

20 / 4 + 3 / 4 = 23 / 4

12 • 5 3/4 = 12 • 23 / 4 = 276 / 4 = 69

12 • 5 3/4 ft = 69 ft

The combined length of all 12 boards = 69 ft
