an=(n-3)n

simply replace n with 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
n1 = (1-3)(1) = -2

Just replace n by numbers.

a1 = ( 1 - 3 ) ∙ 1 = ( - 2 ) ∙ 1 = - 2

a2 = ( 2 - 3 ) ∙ 2 = ( - 1 ) ∙ 2 = - 2

a3 = ( 3 - 3 ) ∙ 3 = 0 ∙ 3 = 0

a4 = ( 4 - 3 ) ∙ 4 = 1 ∙ 4 = 4

a5 = ( 5 - 3 ) ∙ 5 = 2 ∙ 5 = 10
