A car starts from rest and is accelerated uniformly at a rate of 4M/second square for 5 second. It maintain a constant speed for 20second .The brakes are the applied and the steps in the next 3seconds. Find the maximum speed attained.

Where the car maintains a constant speed, that is the maximum speed.

v=u+at
but u=0m/s since the car starts from rest.
v=0+(4×5)
v=20m/s
maximum speed= 20m/s
