How do you do this?

1. Find common denominator that's the lowest: LCM 4 and 9 = 36
Multiply:
2/9 x 4 = 8/36
1/4 x 9 = 9/36

Add: 8/36 + 9/36 = 17/36
Subtract (to find the fraction remaining of the student's pocket money): 36/36 - 17/36 = ____?

Figure it out and try it by yourself! ! :)
