y-15=3x ... y = 3 x + 15
substituting ... -2 x + 5(3 x + 15) = -3 ... 13 x = - 78
solve for x , then substitute back to find y

substitution might be the easiest way....
from y-15=3x we get y = 3x+15
sub that into the other:
-2x + 5(3x+15) = -3
-2x + 15x + 75 = -3
13x = - 78
x = -6
now that you have x, sub into y = 3x+15 to get the y
