A boat sails at a speed of 8kilometres per hour for 2hour on the bearing of 038°and then 5 kilometre on the bearing of 067° (a) how far is the boat from it's starting point.(b)calculate the bearing of the boat from it's starting points.

Did you make a sketch?
Mine is a long skinny triangle with sides 16 and 5, with an angle of 151°
between them, so use the cosine law:
d^2 = 16^2 + 5^2 - 2(6)(5)cos151
d = 18.261...
let the angle at the lower end be θ
sinθ/5 = sin151/18.261
θ = 3.04°
so the bearing is 38+3.04 = 41.04°
