Ben's rocks --- x
Corey's rocks --- (4/9)x or 4x/9

after the loss:
Ben had x-35

4x/9 = 2(x-35)
times 9
4x = 18(x-35)
4x = 18x - 630
-14x = -630
x = 45

state the conclusion
