A ball with a radius of 6.00 cm and a mass of 800 g is thrown into a lake. Will the ball sink or float?

volume = (4/3) pi R^3
= (4/3) * 3.14 * (6)^3 = 904 cm*3
density of water in most lakes is about 1 gram / cm^3
so if totally submerged It would displace about 904 grams of water.
Archimedes claims that it floats.
