Yesterday, 6 euros were worth $8. Write an equation in the form y=kx to show the relationship between the value of the euro and the dollar.

6 € = $8.00
1 € = $8/6
1 € = $1.33
(for larger amounts they would carry more decimals,
e.g. 1000€ = 1333.33, but with my approximation it
would be only 1330.33, off by $3.33)
