How far does an ant have to crawl to get from the base of the cone to the top of the hill? (This is the slant height, s, of the cone.) Answer the questions to find out.
Use 3.14 for π and round your answer to the nearest millimeter if necessary.
1. What is the height of the cone
2. Now that you have the height of the cone, how can you solve for the slant height, s?
3. How far does the ant crawl to get from the base of the cone to the top of the hill

as I told you an hour ago,
Since v = 1/3 πr^2 h, we have h = 3v/(πr^2) = 3*10362/(900π) = 10.99
So let's say h=11
Now, since s^2 = h^2 + r^2 = 121+900 = 1021
s = 31.95
or we could say s=32
Since v = 1/3 πr^2 h, we have h = 3v/(πr^2) = 3*10362/(900π) = 10.99
So let's say h=11
Now, since s^2 = h^2 + r^2 = 121+900 = 1021
s = 31.95
or we could say s=32

volume of cone = (1/3)π r^2 h
10362 = (1/3)π(15^2)(h)
h = (1/3)(10362/(225π)) = appr 15.35111
s^2 = 15.35111..^2 + 15^2 = ...
s = √......
I am sure you have a calculator
10362 = (1/3)π(15^2)(h)
h = (1/3)(10362/(225π)) = appr 15.35111
s^2 = 15.35111..^2 + 15^2 = ...
s = √......
I am sure you have a calculator
