I was able to get it.
You have:
2(1/2)^0 + 2(1/2)^1 + 2(1/2)^2 + .... + 2(1/2)^15
2 + 1 + 1/2 + 1/4 + ... + 1/32768
so there are 16 terms
a = 2
r = 1/2
n = 16
sum(16) = a(1 - r^16)/(1-r)
= 2(1 - 1/65536)/(1 - 1/2)
= 2(65535/65536)(2)
= 65535/16384 or appr 4
