can anyone explain how to do this? im not sure
(2r-2)/(r^2 +2r - 15) + (3/r+5) = (1/r-3)
(2r-2)/(r^2 +2r - 15) + (3/r+5) = (1/r-3)

assuming the usual carelessness with parentheses, I assume you mean
(2r-2)/(r^2+2r-15) + 3/(r+5) = 1/(r-3)
Note that r^2+2r-15 = (r+5)(r-3)
so, putting everything over a common denominator, we get
2r-2 + 3(r-3) = 1(r+5)
r = 4
(2r-2)/(r^2+2r-15) + 3/(r+5) = 1/(r-3)
Note that r^2+2r-15 = (r+5)(r-3)
so, putting everything over a common denominator, we get
2r-2 + 3(r-3) = 1(r+5)
r = 4
