Within the simplicity of the metric system,
24,000 kg of water
= 24,000 L of water
= 24,000,000 cm^3
3 m = 300 cm and 4 m = 400 cm
so 400(300)height = 24,000,000
h = 2400/12 = 200 cm or 2 metres
check:
volume of the box = 4(3)(2) m^3 = 24 m^3
and since 1 m^3 = 1,000,000 cm^3
we have 24,000,000 cm^3 = 24,000 litres of water which have a mass of
24,000 kg

well,it is about 1,000 kg / m^3
so 24 m^3
4*3*x = 24
x = 2 meters deep
so 24 m^3
4*3*x = 24
x = 2 meters deep
