Given f(x) = 2x^2+4 and g(x) = x+4, determine (f+g)(5)
I got 63, however I am not sure that this is correct. Can someone help me verify my answer? Thank you.

looks good
(f+g)(x) = 2x^2+4 + x+4 = 2x^2 + x + 8
so
(f+g)(5) = 2(25) + 5 + 8 = 63
Looks like you got it !!
so
(f+g)(5) = 2(25) + 5 + 8 = 63
Looks like you got it !!
