first, I suspect a typo, because x^9 is probably not going to be used in such a problem, and s9 makes no sense otherwise.

no idea. Use whatever x values you have, and see whether it evaluates to the y-value

for example, (3,2) is not on the graph because
2+4 ≠ (1/2)2(9)-7)
