4.9t^2 = 1.3
so the horizontal velocity v can be found via
1.3v = 3

(1/2) g t^2 = 1.36
4.9 t^2 = 1.36
t^2 = 0.27755
t = 0.527 second
u t = 3 meters
so
u = 3 / 0.527 = 5.69 m/s
