x+y = 82
x-y = 10
add them
2x = 92
x =46
then 46 + y = 82
y = 36

The larger is 46, the smaller is 36

check: 46+36 = 82
46 - 36 = 10, my answer is correct

the difference is 0. So, move each number away by 5 to get
36+46 = 82
and they differ by 10
