Briana is planting a sapling. The garden center recommended she stabilize the sapling with guy wires for the first few months after planting. If Briana places the guy wire 6 feet up the trunk of the sapling and 5 feet from the base, how much total wire, to the nearest tenth of a foot, will she need for the two guy wires?

by Pythagoras,
c^2 = 5^2 + 6^3 = 61
c = appr 7.81 , probably sold by the foot, so absolute minimum is 16 ft.

You will need extra wire for attaching at 4 ends.
