plane going 150mph spots a car going 90 mph 10 miles ahead how long will it take the plane to reach the car?

If the car is going in the same direction then the car goes 90 t while the plane goes 150 t.
We know 150 t = 90 t + 10
so
60 t = 10
t = 1/6 hour or 10 minutes

If they are heading for each other then
150 t + 90 t = 10
If they are at some other angle it becomes a trig problem:)
