if both logs are base 2, then
log x^4 = 2.5
logx = 5/8
x = 2^(5/8)
If the first log is base 10, then you have to change bases using
log2(x) = logx/log2
and proceed from there
log x^4 = 2.5
logx = 5/8
x = 2^(5/8)
