I need some info about how the building of dams effect whitewater activities such as kyaking and conoeing..!!!plz help

Well, the white water is on the downstream side.. sometimes. I would rather canoe in the reservoir behind the dam.

I would be more concerned about how the dam affects fish that come upstream to spawn in that river
