2.Write the first 4 terms in the sequence an+1 = 3an
2 -9 where n≥1 and a1=2.

sure looks like a_n+1 = 2a_n + 1

really? You can't just plug in values for n?
If 3an
2
means 3an/2 then
a2 = 3a1/2-9 = 3*1-9 = -6
