since it is not an equation, there is nothing to solve
But, if you want to simplify it, use a common denominator pf x(x+2)^2
2/x - 4/(x+2) - x/(x+2)^2
(2(x+2)^2 - 4x(x+2) - x^2) / x(x+2)^2
(8-3x^2) / x(x+2)^2
