We all know math is important, but proper English is importanter.

amount spent on food = (1/5)(50000) = 10000
so amount remaining = 40000
amount spent on rent and transportation = (1/2)(40000) = 20000
so amount remaining = 20000
amount spent on clothing etc = (1/4)(20000) = 5000
so amount left = 15000
amount saved = (1/2)(15000) = 7500
