In thrill machine rides at amusement park , there can be an acceleration of 3g or more . But with out head rests, acceleration like this would not be safe. Think why not?

What is the mass of your head?
multiply that by 3 * 9.81 or about 30 Newtons force per kilogram
to be provided by your neck to keep your head attached.
