find the exact perimeter of the triangle.
it's a right triangle with 4x on side A and x on side B

I don't understand what i'm doing and the lesson didn't help me.

a.68 sqrt x
b.sqrt 68x
c. 5x+x sqrt 17

so the missing side is h, the hypotenuse
h^2 = x^2 + (4x)^2 = 17x^2
h = √17 x

perimeter = x + 4x + √17 x
so, do you see that as a choice?

i'm so sorry i was being dumb i figured it out and it was c i said the closest becuase i thought you meant that as the final answer but i understand what you meant now and i got that question right
